Her hostess in return is gazing at her, perhaps in silent admiration of her soft loveliness. "Tell me again how it all happened," he says, laying his hands on her shoulders. And then she goes through it again, slowly, carefully. "Perhaps you are tired of staying here," says Mona, with compunction, turning to Geoffrey, "and would like to go home? I suppose every one cannot love this spot as I do. Yes," rising, "I am selfish. Do come home.".
